I wanted to write to talk about my experience with Dr Cam McCrodan and the Optomization Team.
I sustained a concussion in a car accident over 5 years ago. I was originally in denial with regards to my injury but I deteriorated at a fast pace and within a few weeks I had troubles with everyday tasks. I spent hours in bed for weeks, unable to work, unable to care for myself or care for my kids.
I had heard about Dr McCrodan’s vision therapy however I was also told it is a lot of work so I put it off. After 6 months of severe suffering and falling into a depression I decided to make the call to Dr McCrodan’s office and it was the best thing I ever did for my injury. Within the first consultation Dr McCrodan was able to fit me with glasses which greatly improved the message from my eyes to my brain and drastically reduced my levels of fatigue. With my new special glasses I was able to go back to work. I completed 30 weeks of vision therapy. This requires testing at the beginning, middle and end and you are actually able to gauge your improvements… in addition to feeling them!
I’d be lying if I said it was easy…but I was diligent in my home exercises and it was worth it!
I was back at work full time and managing my other concussion symptoms.
A couple years later, after doing too much I had a set back. Dr McCrodan was there for me. He tweaked my lenses and I signed up for another round of vision therapy which I found made further improvements. While the therapy and glasses have not corrected all my symptoms.. I can confidently say they have helped immensely in giving me my life back again! I can’t say enough good things about Dr McCrodan and his Optomization Team.
